It’s also a time when your child may experience academic regression, hindering their academic growth upon returning to school. Over the summer, students lose the equivalent of one month of academic learning, with an average of 27% loss in math and 20% in reading.
To prevent summer slide or to close gaps in your child’s learning, consider taking a course or two to keep their mind fresh.
Summer school courses are available to all students in grades K-12 who need to close gaps, desire to get ahead, or need to recover credit.

Summer School Tutoring
Students in need of additional math or reading support and intervention may sign up for one-on-one tutoring with a certified teacher to work on skills and close gaps prior to the upcoming school year. (5 hours tutoring: $300, 10 hours tutoring: $600, 20 hours tutoring: $1200)
