Students at Ignite Learning Academy progress through online courses using a suggested course calendar and pacing guide, while still maintaining flexibility based on individual needs. Students may spend additional time on lessons to strengthen understanding, revisit foundational skills when needed, or accelerate through content when ready—ensuring students remain challenged and supported without gaps in learning.
All courses are aligned to nationally recognized standards and include a variety of assessments such as projects, written assignments, quizzes, and tests. Courses are designed to keep students engaged through interactive learning tools, including videos, games, and other multimedia resources that support different learning styles. Students also benefit from live instruction and support from certified teachers, helping them deepen understanding and stay on track academically.
Students complete the four core academic subjects: Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science.
-
Elementary students typically enroll in the four core courses plus one additional elective or foreign language course.
-
Middle and high school students are typically enrolled in six courses at a time, including core academics and electives.
At the high school level, students have access to multiple course pathways (including advanced options in some subject areas), and motivated students may also have the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school through our partnership with the ASU Universal Learner Program.
Live Classes and Student Support
Live instruction and real teacher support are central to the Ignite Learning Academy experience. Elementary students attend live class daily with their teacher and classmates. Middle and high school students meet live with their content-area teachers throughout the week, with multiple live classes offered each day across subject areas.
Live classes are engaging and interactive, designed to strengthen understanding, extend learning, and provide meaningful connection between students and teachers. These sessions also help foster a strong sense of community—so students feel supported, known, and encouraged.
Live math instruction is offered every weekday for students in all grades and at all levels. This consistent daily support allows students to build strong foundations, receive ongoing guidance, and develop confidence and competence in math over time.
