ILA Academics
Students progress through online courses following a suggested course calendar, but there is plenty of room for flexibility based on your child’s needs. Students have the ability to spend additional time on lessons or to accelerate based on their preferences.
Courses are aligned to nationally recognized standards and include a variety of assessments, projects, quizzes, and tests within the courses. Each course is engaging, and you will find interactive content, videos, and games to supplement the learning within the course.
Students are enrolled in 4 courses: Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. Elementary students typically enroll in one additional elective or foreign language course, and middle and high school students are typically enrolled in 6 courses simultaneously. At the high school level, multiple varieties of the same course are offered and there is an ability to earn college credit while still in high school!
Live Classes and Student Support
Elementary students attend live class daily with their classmates and teacher, and middle/high school students meet with their various content teachers throughout the week. Live classes are interactive, support and extend the student's learning, and foster a sense of community within the school.
