We are proud to announce that Ignite Learning Academy’s Dr. Kelly Van Sande will be speaking at the 2024 Emerging School Models Conference at the Harvard Kennedy School on September 12-13.
Executive producers of the documentary-style show, Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid, recently discovered the incredible work that was being done at Ignite Learning Academy—especially the work within the FIRE program serving students with special needs. During their research, they found no other special education program in the United States quite like it. Intrigued by the remarkable academic progress and achievements of the students, they were eager to delve deeper into our unique approach. They were shocked to discover that a program like this existed, and even more surprised to learn about our gifted program and our lively school community! The producers also loved hearing all about the adventures of Bruno and where he had traveled all over the world!
Aarin has once again accomplished an incredible feat and beaten his own record set in 2022 when he was able to recite from memory Pi up to 250 digits. This year, Aarin was able to recite 314 digits.
Aarin was added to the Pi World Ranking List last year, and we expect his ranking to go up this year after his latest achievement.
Ignite Learning Academy Arizona students and staff enjoyed last week's wonderful trip to the Phoenix Zoo!
Some of our Arizona families and teachers enjoyed a field trip to the Arizona Desert Museum. The Raptor Flight show was a highlight!
In an effort to help our school community, we have compiled a list of valuable resources to assist families and educators as we seek to understand the horrific events of yesterday. As parents ourselves, we understand the fear many parents and children face today and know the dinner-table conversations are filled with difficult questions that seemingly have no right answer.
Our prayers are with the Uvalde, Texas community and those worldwide who are scared and grieving today.
This list has been compiled from a variety of resources and our own experiences.
