Ignite Learning Academy is an Accredited Online School
As a fully accredited online school, Ignite Learning Academy has met the highest of standards for instruction, data, stakeholder communication, assessment, goals, and professional development. Ignite Learning Academy is regionally accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), a globally renowned organization.
According to Ms. Elizabeth Oberreiter, WASC Director for the Accrediting Commission for Schools, in the accreditation site visit report, "The administration, staff and teachers are fully dedicated to each student's academic and personal growth journey. The school provides students with lifelong tools to ensure they succeed in their education and/or career path." She went on to note, "Students and parents shared their previous schools did not challenge them enough. Parents stated the ILA teachers have given their students a much more rigorous curriculum and their students are excited to learn and progress at their own pace."
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR MY CHILD?
Students benefit from rich and engaging content that meets standards required by states. They receive instruction from highly qualified, certified teachers in the subjects they teach, using core curriculum that has been accredited as well. In addition, our instructors receive ongoing training to ensure relevancy while we carefully monitor instruction to ensure best practices are followed.
Most importantly, having the status of a fully accredited online school provides students reciprocity for their credits and grade-level placements in the United States and around the world. High school students looking forward to college and university acceptance will be viewed the same as all other high school students graduating from regionally accredited institutions. Our transcripts are recognized by universities in the United States and worldwide. To complement accreditation, high school core courses are also NCAA Division I and II approved.
